Seven Ipswich roads will close for road marking work tonight, affecting key routes through the town centre and around the waterfront.
Suffolk Highways has confirmed that seven roads will be closed from 7pm on Saturday to 5am on Sunday.
Civic Drive, which provides access to the town centre from Franciscan Way, will be closed from 7pm alongside adjoining St Matthew's Street, Crown Street and Berners Street.
Nearer the waterfront, Foundation Street and Star Lane will also be closed.
Foundation Street will be closed from Star Lane to Smart Street, also from 7pm to 5am.
Meanwhile, Star Lane will be closed from Turret Lane to around 10 metres past Foundation Street.
A diversion route will be in place from A1022 Star Lane, Fore Street and Tacket Street
The road closures will take place while motorists are experiencing heavy delays on the nearby A14 at Orwell Bridge following a lane closure.
Drivers have been warned of delays and are advised to seek alternative routes if possible.
