A hit musical based on a 1980s romance film is taking over the stage in Ipswich next week.
The tour of An Officer and a Gentleman will be at Ipswich Regent Theatre from Tuesday, September 10 until Saturday, September 14.
The jukebox musical is based on the 1982 film starring Richard Gere and Debra Winger which shares the story of young officer Zack Mayo and Paula Pokrifki.
Their fiery spirits spark a passionate love that defies all odds.

The musical is set to a smash-hit soundtrack featuring well-known songs by Madonna, Bon Jovi and many more, including the award-winning Up Where We Belong, which was also on the film's soundtrack.
Luke Baker will be playing the role of Zack with Georgia Lennon playing Paula.
Also in the cast is former X Factor contestant Melanie Masson as Paula's mother Esther and Jamal Crawford as Gunnery Sergeant Emil Foley.

Director Nikolai Foster said: "We are excited to share some iconic 80s songs and this moving story with audiences across the UK."
Tickets are still available for the performances in Ipswich starting from £15.
