A man from Ipswich has been ordered to pay out more than £1,000 in costs and fines after failing to give information to the police about who was driving a vehicle in Lincolnshire.
Gheorghe Hurmuz, 26, of Spring Road in the Suffolk town, was asked for information relating to the driver of a BMW, which the police believed had committed an offence in April this year.
However, Hurmuz did not give them the information, a court listing said.
Charges were brought against him by Lincolnshire Police, and he pleaded guilty to failing to give information relating to the identification of a vehicle when required.
Hurmuz appeared at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court.
He was fined £660, and ordered to pay a surcharge of £264, which goes towards funds for victim services, and ordered to pay costs of £110 - bringing the total amount he has to pay out to £1,034.
His driving licence was endorsed with six points, according to a court listing.
