Two Suffolk eateries have been named among the best places to dine by one of the region's most recognised chefs.
The choices have been made by those working at award-winning restaurants across the UK who were asked to pick their favourite places for a meal out that doesn't break the bank.
Dave Wall, head chef at the UK's number one ranked gastropub, The Unruly Pig in Bromeswell near Woodbridge said his top choices are Lark in Bury St Edmunds and Honey + Harvey who have cafes in Ipswich, Woodbridge and Melton.
Speaking to Sky News, Mr Hall said Honey + Harvey is a "cracking spot for breakfast, brunch or lunch."
He added: "They have the most delicious coffee and a cracking full English, the vibe is super-chilled and laidback and I always feel so relaxed there."
Lark in Bury St Edmunds is also no stranger to national recognition.
Earlier this year it was recognised by the Michelin Guide when it became the only restaurant in Suffolk awarded a Bib Gourmand.
Michelin presents the gong to eateries that offer a fine-dining experience at a competitive price.
Angel Hill restaurant Lark opened for the first time in February 2023 and has already received national recognition several times.
Mr Wall said Lark is a "beautiful little independent restaurant with the most incredible selection of small plates and top-drawer cooking".
He added: "Admittedly, I find myself spending a fair bit more than £40 at Lark because I love James Carn's cooking so much that I end up going way over the top and ordering far too many dishes."
In January James Carn, head chef at Lark, was named as the Chef to Watch at the Good Food Guide awards.
