A shop in Ipswich town centre which has been empty for a number of years looks set to be given a new lease of life after people were seen working inside to renovate it.
Hotter Shoe Shop in Tavern Street has been closed since 2020 when it was one of the branches chosen for closure by the retailer.
The shop closed permanently following the first Covid lockdown four years ago and it has been sitting vacant since in the Suffolk town's high street ever since.
The premises, which is next to Fone Tech, was seen with people inside it renovating the inside of the shop recently.
It is not known what the new company will be inside the unit - but it is another unit on the high street that could be set to be brought back in use.
Elsewhere in Tavern Street, Holland & Barrett is set to open in the former Carphone Warehouse unit, opposite the former Hotter Shoes premises.
Carphone Warehouse closed several years ago.
