With many places to enjoy a good meal or drink across the county sometimes hidden gems can be found in unusual or unexpected places.
Here are five quirky places to eat and drink in Suffolk.
1. The Nutshell
Where: 17 The Traverse, Bury St Edmunds
Located in the heart of the market town, The Nutshell is one of the smallest pubs in Britain and measures just 15ft by 7ft.
It first started serving beer in 1873 and is decorated with historical items and quirky memorabilia such as a mummified cat and a plane propeller on the wall.

2. Squires of Southwold
Where: 71 High Street, Southwold, IP18 6DS
When walking up the High Street of the coastal town, this café may be missed as it can be found inside the back of a traditional sweet shop.
The quaint café is dog friendly and serves up hot meals as well as a range of sandwiches, cakes and pastries.
3. Mariners Restaurant
Where: Neptune Quay, Ipswich, IP4 1AX
The restaurant is found inside a historic boat that was launched in Belgium in 1899 before it was fitted out as a "party boat" in the early 1970s.
Dishes are made using ingredients sourced locally in the county and has a set menu and an a la carte menu.

4. Urban Jungle
Where: London Road, Beccles, NR34 8TT
Visitors to the garden and plant centre can get the jungle experience by enjoying a coffee or a treat inside.
The cafe is decorated with a range of different plants with some even hanging down from the roof.
5. The Vaults
Where: The Angel Hotel, Angel Hill, Bury St Edmunds, IP33 1LT
After undergoing a recent refurbishment and opening earlier this year, The Vaults are located in well-know Angel Hotel and date back to the 12th century.
On the last Friday of every month it hosts a social drinks and live music evening.
