Ipswich Library is set to host the town's first ever film festival celebrating Romanian cinema next month.
The free screenings will showcase a mix of feature films and documentaries from Friday, September 13 to Sunday, September 15.
The event, which is the first of it's kind outside of London, is part of an outreach project hoping to better connect multilingual library users to the library.
Ipswich has more than 3,000 Romanian speakers living in the town.
Hannah Blackmore, the assistant library manager, is leading the project.
She said that the idea came from a survey asking what more Ipswich's diverse community would want from the library.
"I thought it was brilliant suggestion," she said.
"I can't wait to immerse myself in these three gems of Romanian cinema - they're all quite different, but they've been selected by the local community because they each tell us something important about Romanian history and culture."
The festival will begin on Friday with a showing of the documentary film: Chuck Norris vs Communism, Two Lottery Tickets will be screened on Saturday with the final film on Sunday being The Oak.
