A photo campaign is to be launched to highlight the economic impact that Ipswich Town’s 2024/25 season in top flight football has.
Ahead of Town's Premier League kick-off this weekend, Ipswich Central, the organisation aiming to make life in Ipswich town centre "more vibrant, more welcoming, and more fulfilling", is launching a photo campaign to capture the impact of Premier League football on the town.
Nationally-renowned football culture photographer, Adam Rosenbaum, has been tasked to will capture the impact on businesses.
At the end of the season an in-depth study from national experts in this field will collate the economic impact that the season has on the town.
Fans are also encouraged to get involved with the campaign, by applying for a disposable camera to capture match days through their perspective.
Lee Walker, Ipswich Central chief executive, said: “While the focus is obviously on the 90 minutes of action, the power of football extends far beyond the boundaries of the pitch with its benefits being felt across local communities.
"This season we have the added impact of Ipswich Town returning to the Premier League for the first time in over 20 years. Ipswich has so much to offer alongside great football with wonderful parks, the waterfront, independent shops, a wealth of places to eat and drink."
At the end of the season, all parts of the campaign will be exhibited to celebrate the positive social and economic impacts of the Premier League.
