A major health chain has closed its doors in Ipswich's Buttermarket shopping centre ahead of its move to the town centre.
Holland & Barrett, a health food shop which has more than 1,300 stores in 16 countries, has closed its doors in Buttermarket.
This has come ahead of a move to the former Carphone Warehouse unit in Tavern Street, near the Cornhill and Sailmakers shopping centre.
The Carphone Warehouse store has been empty for several years after the company went into financial difficulties back in 2020, shutting the majority of its brick-and-mortar shops.
Signs have been taken down and the inside of the Holland & Barrett shop has been emptied ahead of its move to the bigger premises.
There is still one Holland & Barrett currently open in Ipswich, with the Westgate Street branch operating as normal.
An opening date for the new Holland & Barrett store is yet to be announced, with the retailer being approached for comment for more information.
This closure in Buttermarket is another shop to leave the centre, with Select Fashion closing on June 8.
The unit will join other vacant units including the former Byron Burgers, Creams Cafe and Desserts and Superdry.
Previously, a spokesperson for the centre said it was "investigating and engaging with potential operators all the time".
Holland & Barrett's closure means there are now nine empty units in the centre.
There has previously been a wide range of businesses in the centre, with only New Look, Designer Hair and Grape Tree being the only retailers left.
Other entertainment venues in the centre include Superbowl, Omniplex Cinema and Boom Battle Bar, with the centre still retaining restaurants Wagamama, Prezzo, Krispy Kreme and Cosy Club.
PureGym makes up the centre's offerings.
