New signage and decoration has been put up and done around the perimeter of Portman Road ahead of Ipswich Town's return to the Premier League after 22 years.

Signs have gone up around Portman Road before Liverpool visit the ground for the first game of the new season on Saturday.

The walls that are around the back of the training pitch behind the West Stand, displaying out onto Constantine Road, have been updated with memorable moments from last season, when Town stormed to second place in the Championship and a place in the top flight.

Displayed around the outside are pictures of the promotion bus parade with fans and players, as well as the team celebrating promotion from both the 2022/23 League One season and last campaign.

Ed Sheeran also features - performing whilst wearing the new Town home kit - as well as memorable moments from last season, including Jeremy Sarmiento's last-minute winner against Southampton, Conor Chaplin's winner against Sunderland and the Women's team's historic game at Portman Road.

The pictures are accompanied by words from Town TV commentator Glenn Wheeler.

A new sign has been placed at the entrance to the car park where the players drive in, and bins have been painted blue and white around the outskirts of the stadium.

The back of the Sir Alf Ramsey Stand has been updated too, with the University of Suffolk advertised with the words "Get Closer".

Signage is set to go up around the top of the stand as well after being removed earlier this summer.
