Neighbours were believed to have helped save the occupants as a fire ripped through the roof of their house in a Suffolk seaside town.
Nearby residents, who did not wish to be named, revealed that the blaze started in the roof of the property in Langer Road in Felixstowe on Thursday morning.
However, the people present in the three-storey house were apparently unaware of the fire upstairs until alerted by neighbours.

One resident said: "Everybody was evacuated safely. There were no injuries."
Photos from Woodbridge Fire Station have shown the devastation wrought by the inferno, of which the cause is as yet undetermined.
Firefighters were called to the blaze at 11.44am on Thursday.
Five fire crews from Woodbridge, Orford, Leiston and Clare attended the incident and the road was closed while they extinguished the fire.

A spokesman for Woodbridge Fire Station said crews used breathing apparatus, a hose reel and a fog spike to tackle the flames.
The fire was brought under control and no injuries were reported.
A stop time for Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service was called just after 3pm.
The house affected by the fire is close to the crossroads with Beach Station Road in a row of terraced houses.
