A 27-year-old has been arrested in connection with a murder investigation after a woman was stabbed to death in Ipswich.
Emergency services were called to Burrell Road, close to Ipswich railway station at about 7.10pm on Tuesday.
Officers attended the scene and found a woman who had suffered serious injuries.

Despite treatment, the woman, aged 26, died a short time later in hospital.
An Ipswich man, 27, was arrested this morning in the town on suspicion of murder and taken to Martlesham Police Investigation Centre where he will be questioned by detectives.
A police cordon remains at the scene and a road closure is in place at Burrell Road while enquiries take place.

Superintendent Andy Martin said: "We can now confirm a 27 year old male has been arrested in connection with the murder of a 26 year old female which occurred in Burrell Road in Ipswich yesterday.
"I can confirm that as part of our initial searches two knives have been recovered that may or may not be connected to the investigation and they will be subject to forensic analysis."
