Here is everything we know so far as police have launched a murder investigation after a woman was stabbed to death near Ipswich railway station.
Where did the stabbing happen?
Emergency services were called to reports of a stabbing in Burrell Road on Tuesday evening.
A woman in her 20s was pronounced dead at the scene and a murder investigation was subsequently launched.
What time did it happen?
Police were alerted to the incident at about 7.10pm.
Eye-witnesses have said there was a heavy emergency service presence in the area as officers and paramedics attended.
Have any arrests been made?
A 27-year-old man from Ipswich was arrested in Ipswich on Wednesday on suspicion of murder and taken to Martlesham Police Investigation Centre where he will be questioned by detectives.
Superintendent Andy Martin said: "We can now confirm a 27 year old male has been arrested in connection with the murder of a 26 year old female which occurred in Burrell Road in Ipswich yesterday.
"I can confirm that as part of our initial searches two knives have been recovered that may or may not be connected to the investigation and they will be subject to forensic analysis."
Are police cordons in place?
A number of police cordons are in place across the town on Wednesday morning.
Burrell Road has been closed while officers continue to investigate the incident.
A police cordon has also been seen in the footpath between Burrell Road and Stoke Park Drive.
What have the police said about the incident?
Police launched a murder investigation on Tuesday evening after the woman's death.
They have said that there will be a bigger police presence in the town over the coming days as investigations continue.
Speaking on Tuesday evening, Detective Chief Inspector Tam Burgess said: "Emergency services, including a number of police resources, were deployed to the scene and those in the area will continue to see an increased police presence throughout tonight and the coming days.
"A murder investigation has been launched and we are in the early stages of our enquiries to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident, however it is believed the parties are known to each other.
"We would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has any information, no matter how small you may feel it is."
What the community saying about the incident?
An Ipswich resident said he was "really scared" when he heard about the incident.
"At the end of the day it’s so sad it’s a girl in her 20s, just think about her family," they said.
Councillor Phil Smart, for Bridge ward at Ipswich Borough Council, said: "This is a truly horrific incident, and our thoughts go out to the victim and those close to her.
"Ipswich Borough Council are helping the police search through CCTV footage to identify the person or persons responsible."
