A Suffolk business has been named as a finalist in two categories for a national award.

Ear View Ltd, which operates from eight locations across Suffolk including sites in Ipswich, Stowmarket and Bury St Edmunds, is a finalist for the New Business of the Year award and the Micro Business of the Year in the Lloyds Bank British Business Excellence Awards.

Ear View was founded in 2021 by Jason Curtis, and the formation came as a response to the NHS' decision to discontinue routine ear wax removal services at GP services.

Since its inception, the business has become a trusted service provider in the county, and has already won national awards including Mr Curtis picking up the Audiologist of the Year Award just one year after the company formed.

He said: "Our mission has always been to ensure that everyone, regardless of their financial situation has access to safe and effective ear care.

"Being named a finalist in two categories at the Lloyds Bank British Business Excellence Awards is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team, and to the trust our patients place in us."

The company has had over 4,500 patients who have been treated since it started three years ago, expanding to different areas of Suffolk with locations also including Woodbridge, Aldeburgh, Mendlesham, Alderton and Needham Market.

The Lloyds Bank British Business Excellence Awards is an annual national awards that celebrates businesses across the country, recognising innovation, entrepreneurship and outstanding achievements.

Mr Curtis and Ear View Ltd will find out whether they have been successful in the categories at a gala ceremony in London later in the year.
