The first picture of a man who "attempted to fool" officers despite breaching a deportation order has been released.
Edison Dautaj, an Albanian national, was stopped by Suffolk Police's Sentinel South team on Sunday, June 30 while driving in Ipswich.
Dautaj was arrested after presenting police with a false driving licence and address.
The 28-year-old was previously arrested in October 2022 and jailed for two years for supplying cocaine and holding a fake identity document. He was then deported in May 2023.
He appeared at Ipswich Crown Court on Monday for sentencing.
The court heard that in a prepared statement after his arrest, Dautaj said his earlier trip to the UK had left him with a large amount of debt.
Sentinel Sgt David Logan said; “This is the second time Suffolk Police have located Dautaj breaking the law in Suffolk.
"After serving part of his initial 28-month sentence, he was given a deportation order, which he has flagrantly ignored by returning to the UK illegally.
"When stopping him for the second time we found he was once again using a fraudulent Bulgarian ID document, which we were able to evidence through working with the National Document Fraud Unit.
"I am pleased that Dautaj’s attempts to fool the authorities has not worked and he has been recalled to serve the remainder of his sentence.”
Dautaj pleaded guilty to possessing a counterfeit identity document with intent and driving offences so was remanded in custody.
He has also been recalled to prison to finish his earlier two year sentence for cocaine supply.
Edison Dautaj was sentenced to six months in prison and given a nine month driving ban.
