Drivers will be diverted along the B1113 through Sproughton and the route is estimated to be around 10 miles long.
Traffic management will be in place throughout the area in order to mitigate speeding and reduce disruption to local residents.
A spokesman for National Highways said the repairs are necessary to "extend the life of the road surface" and "minimise the need for more extensive repairs in the future".
