A road has been reopened after there was a large police presence outside Ipswich railway station following an incident.
Police were called to Burrell Road and Princes Street at about 2pm on Friday following an incident.
A spokesman said officers sealed off Princes Street, which is opposite the station and has a small bridge crossing the river towards the town centre and Portman Road.
The spokesman added that the incident has now been resolved and the road has been reopened.
Fire crews, ambulances and the Coastguard were also in attendance.
A spokesman for East of England Ambulance Service said: “We were called just before 2pm with reports of concern for the welfare of an adult man on Princes Street in Ipswich.
"An ambulance, ambulance officer vehicle, a mental health response car and the Hazardous Area Response Team were sent to the scene. An adult man was assessed and discharged on scene.”
