A new interactive trail has launched in the town for young people to enjoy this summer.
Ipswich Borough Council has set up an Augmented Reality (AR) Trail that runs from Christchurch Park to the Waterfront which is themed around DiGBY and Beattie's Adventure.
The trial will be live every day till September 4, and participants can use their phone or tablet to download an app called 'Join the Adventure' to take part.
The app will navigate players through a route that combines the real world with computer-generated content, in a mix of learning and fun, games and storytelling.
Children can interact with the characters as they walk around town and notice a picture gallery of digital art walls around the town.
Ipswich Borough Council leader Cllr Neil MacDonald said: "For the summer months, these exciting, interactive stops around the town centre are bringing many characters to life, with an inspiring mix of information, imagery and video.
"This trail celebrates a historic past, vibrant present, and promising future for Ipswich while getting our 'adventurers' moving and exploring old and new areas of town."
He added the trail has been made possible through the Towns Fund project.
