Plans have been submitted to convert a six bedroom house of multiple occupation into a nine bedroom house.
Ipswich Borough Council has received plans for the home which is situated in Colchester Road.
No works proposed in the application would affect the external appearance of the property as the internal agreement of the building lends itself directly to this use.
The property also does not fall within the recently adopted Article 4 Direction Area for HMOs in Ipswich.
Currently, the house caters for six professionals and a loft conversion has been carried out to provide accommodation over three floors rather than two it currently does.
Parking at the site wouldn't be altered, with three cars able to fit side by side or six if parked in tandem.
A number of applications have been submitted to the council recently relating to HMOs, with seven existing HMOs reported to the council for breaching Article 4.
Ipswich Borough Council will discuss the plans in due course.
