Each week, our publications share the death notices and funeral announcements from families of loved ones who have passed away in our county.

As well as appearing in print, our death notice pages will remain online as a lasting tribute to the memory of those we have lost.

Brenda Syring 

Brenda Alice Syring passed away peacefully in Foxearth Lodge Nursing Home on Friday July 5th, aged 86. Loving Partner to Alan, loving Mum Glyn Hugo, proud Oma and Great Nanna. Brenda will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.

Sadly left us, loved by all his family. Much missed. The funeral service will take place on 29th July at 11.00 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, Boxford.

Jean Filby

Jean Filby (née Ashford) passed away peacefully on Thursday 11th July, 2024, at West Suffolk Hospital in Bury St Edmunds, at the age of 83. Devoted Wife to the late Peter for almost 53 years. Dearest Mum to Linda and the late Andrew. Mother-in-law to Mark.

Ann Stribling (née Cobbold) of Stowmarket, passed away peacefully at home on 12th July, 2024, aged 83 years. A much-loved wife, mum and grandma. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Tony Mansfield passed away peacefully at home on July 1st, 2024, aged 84 years. A loving husband to Rhoda Lucy with whom he is now reunited, much loved dad to Mark, Carl and Lisa, and also grandfather to Lucas and Dominic.
