A broken-down motorbike was causing long delays on the A14 outside Ipswich.
Police were called to the broken down motorbike in the eastbound carriageway near Sproughton at about 2.45pm on Thursday.
A spokesman for Suffolk police said a lane was closed due to the broken-down vehicle.
The closure came after the westbound carriageway was closed near Bury St Edmunds on Thursday morning following a crash involving a lorry and a car.
National Highways has confirmed the eastbound carriage was has fully reopened.
