A Kesgrave man has received an award after dedicating almost five decades to a career in the civil engineering industry.
Robin Percy was handed a lifetime achievement award from the Civil Engineering Contractors Association (CECA) (Southern) after 47 years of high-level service.
Mr Percy is a long-standing employee of Breheny Civil Engineering, is currently Environment Agency national framework manager and senior planner and his commitment was acknowledged with the Outstanding Contribution to Industry Award at the CECA Southern ceremony.
Aside from his career in civil engineering, Mr Percy contributes to a number of worthy causes - including regularly volunteering within the chaplaincy at Hollesley Bay prison near Woodbridge.
Alan Cox, CECA Southern chair, said: "For many years Robin has been a role model to others within Breheny, always looking to help his colleagues and always going that extra mile in everything he does.
"He has helped lift standards across the business by training and mentoring the future generation of employees.
"His legacy will be long lasting, both for his company and the wider civil engineering construction community.”
