The future of one of the biggest flooring retailers is uncertain, leaving two stores in Ipswich at risk of closure.
Carpetright has filed a notice of intent to appoint administrators following a fall in demand for carpet as homeowners shift towards hard flooring.
Nestware Holdings, which owns the retailer, also said trade halted after the company suffered a major cyberattack in April of this year.
There are 272 Carpetright stores across the UK, including two in Ipswich - with one store in Anglia Retail Park in Bury Road and the second at Ransomes Euro Retail Park.

Experts from PwC are set to be appointed as part of the administration process and will seek to find emergency funding or a rescue buyer for the company.

Carpetright has said at present online and in store trade will continue as normal.
