Ipswich comedian Omid Djalili has shared details about his new TV series which has been filming around the University of Suffolk.

Filming vans were first seen at the university's James Hehir building at Ipswich Waterfront last Tuesday, July 2 - where the pilot was filmed.

Mr Djalili's new production company, Tiny Speck Production, has now confirmed the project and said that it joined forces with Nest Productions to take it on.

This will be the first scripted comedy series by the production since being founded by the comedian in January 2024.

The series will be directed by Matt Lipsey, who the comedian called the "Steven Spielberg of British comedy directors" whose resume includes the filming of six episodes for the multi-Emmy Apple TV series Ted Lasso.

He has also won a Bafta TV award for directing episodes of the comedy-drama Inside No. 9.

Lead actors for the series include Baby Reindeer's Tom Goodman-Hill and comedian Llewella Gideon.

"Wish I could tell you more but with the A-list talent and crew attached to this project you can imagine our coruscating wonderment for what we are trying to produce.”
