An Ipswich food store has announced it will close its doors at the end of August.
The East of England Co-op in Cauldwell Hall Road, Ipswich, has announced due to changes within the business its last day of trading will be August 31.
Notices on the door, making customers aware of the closure, state that employees at the branch will be offered jobs at other Co-op stores in the town.
The post office which operates from the store will also close on August 31.
The notice on the door goes on to state: "Our business is going through a portfolio reshape, opening new stores and refurbishing existing ones, as well as consolidating and closing some locations.
"We would like to say a huge thank you to you, our members and customers, and to the team at this store for the service they have provided over the years."
Earlier this year, the nearby Rosehill Centre branch also closed, with the unit still remaining vacant.
The business is also opening a new store at Ipswich railway station.
Chief executive Doug Field said: “We’re thrilled to be opening a food store at Ipswich Station, during what is an exciting time for the town and county.
“We’re looking forward to meeting our new customers, commuters and thousands of football fans visiting the town to watch Premier League football at Portman Road.
