Travellers remain at a popular Ipswich park nearly one week on.
At least six caravans were spotted in Gippeswyk Park, near the railway station, after arriving in the town on Friday evening.
They remain at the park, Ipswich Borough Council has confirmed.
A spokeswoman for Ipswich Borough Council said: "The council is taking all necessary steps to regain possession of the land.”
On Sunday a family fun day at Gippeswyk Park was cancelled after the travellers pitched up at the site.
Lark in the Park, which is an annual family community day at Gippeswyk Park, was expected to take place between 11am and 4pm.
Organisers announced on social media on Saturday that the event was cancelled.
One woman said she was "gutted" that the event had to be cancelled.
