Signs have gone up for a new café which will replace the former Coffee Cat café on Ipswich Waterfront.
Deluxe Coffee Bar has taken over the premises of the former Neptune Marina café and it now plans to bring something new to the marina, with later opening hours and "fresh takeaway food".
The Deluxe Coffee Bar team said: "We are looking to bring an upbeat energy to the Waterfront with our café-bar combination.
"We will be serving a range of beers and drinks that people can enjoy outside on the marina and we will be open later into the evening".
"We are really excited about this opportunity and we want to provide something different.
"One of our big things so far has been going out there and asking locals what they feel the marina needs. This way we won't just be another café - we'll bring something new to the community."
Earlier this week, the new café and bar released its menu in post on social media.
The new menu will include a range of wraps, paninis and traditional breakfast dishes, and the café will be offering takeaway meals starting from £4 with cans of beer from £2.20.
Coffee Cat said it decided to take a step back from the Waterfront location and sell the business after owner, Kie Humphreys, reopened the café in 2020 following closure due to covid.
Mr Humphreys said he was focusing his business on other locations, such as the café in Ip-City, an office based just of Hawes Street near the River Orwell.
The team at Deluxe Coffee Bar told this newspaper some work will need to be done to rebrand and refurbish the café, but the venue is now open to customers and learning on the job.
