A child suffered a head injury during an alleged assault in Ipswich which saw three children under 13 injured.
Police were called to an incident in Bramford Road at about 5.10pm on Sunday.
A spokesman for Suffolk police said three children, all aged under 13 were injured.
One of the injured children, a boy, was taken to hospital for treatment after suffering a small laceration to his head.
A 49-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault.
He was taken to Martlesham Police Investigation Centre for questioning, where he remains.
A police cordon was put in place by officers who closed the road while investigations were carried out.
The cordon has since been lifted and the road has reopened.
