Drivers are being warned of delays as a 250 tonne abnormal load is transported along the A14.
National Highways has said the large piece of equipment which is 76 metres long, will be taken from Ipswich Port to National Grid's substation near Bramford on Sunday.
The escort is expected to leave the Port of Ipswich at about 8am and will make its way to the A14 at junction 56 at Wherstead and travelling to junction 55 at Copdock.
The A14 between junctions 55 and 56 eastbound will be fully closed while the convoy is on the carriageway.
These vehicles are expected to leave the A14 around 12pm, at which point the road will fully reopen.
A spokesman for National Highways said: "Due to its size, the lorry moving it will be escorted by the police, who will need to temporarily hold traffic to allow the convoy to safely progress.
"The convoy will move very slowly while it is on the road.
"Due to the complexity of moving equipment of this size, there will be disruption on the A14.
"To ensure there are no hold-ups, there will be some activities carried out ahead of the convoy, which includes the removal of carriageway signage."
