A new charcoal-based kebab takeaway serving chicken shish and lamb kofta over the grill is set to open in Ipswich.

Signs went up for the new business last month outside the former Favourite Grill Kebab House in Felixstowe Road, which has been vacant for years.

The new takeaway, which is simply called Kebab House, said in a statement: "We felt that there aren’t any takeaway kebab shops offering charcoal-based kebabs in the area.

"So, we wanted to be the first to introduce it to the people in our local community because it's a whole different experience."
