The jury has been selected in the trial of a man charged with causing death the death of a cyclist by dangerous driving in Ipswich.
The incident happened shortly before 10pm on October 13, 2022 in Vernon Street, south of Stoke Bridge near the Waterfront, as police were called to a crash involving a bicycle and three cars.
The cyclist, who was later named as Benjamin Wright, died at the scene.
James Ashman, 29, of Lower Harlings in Shotley Gate, stands accused of causing the death of Benjamin Wright by dangerous driving.
The defendant denies the charge and on Tuesday the prosecution is expected to open its case.
An inquest into the death of Mr Wright, who was from Ipswich, was opened at Suffolk Coroners' Court late last year but was suspended until the conclusion of the criminal trial.
The 35-year-old was a father to teenage twins and was described by his family as a "happy go lucky" man in a tribute released after his death.
