Plans to open a pub earlier and proposals to convert a pub into a place of worship are among the public notices people in Suffolk should be aware of this week.

1. Mannings, Ipswich

Ipswich pub Mannings has filed a licensing application to open earlier on certain Ipswich Town matchdays.

The Cornhill pub wants to open at 8am on games when the Blues kick-off at 12.30pm.

It currently opens at 10am every day.

2. The Glad Abbot, Bury St Edmunds

Plans to convert the former Glad Abbot pub in Bury St Edmunds into a place of worship have been approved.

Horringer Court Community Church put forward proposals to West Suffolk Council in March to occupy the long-vacant pub.

It has been given the green light to convert the premises into a place of worship with offices and multi-purpose community activity and support facilities.

3. Looms Lane, Bury St Edmunds

An application has been lodged with West Suffolk Council to build three flats in Looms Lane, Bury St Edmunds.

Plans would see offices currently used by Turning Point Drug & Alcohol Rehabilitation services converted into homes.

Three parking spaces would be provided for each property.

4. The Canteen, Southwold

The Canteen in Southwold is seeking to vary its licence to extend the hours it can sell alcohol.

Documents on the East Suffolk Council website show it want to sell alcohol on a Sunday and Monday between 9am and 5pm.

5. 2 Station Road, Woodbridge

Farthing Funeral Service has been given the go-ahead to erect new signs on its premises at 2 Station Road in Woodbridge.

An application sought to erect a number of new, non-illuminated signs outside of its office in the east Suffolk town.
