Three people have been arrested after an assault where a man suffered cuts to his face.
Officers were called to Upper Brook Street at about 5pm on Tuesday following reports of an assault.
A man in his 20s was found to have been involved in a confrontation with three other men and suffered lacerations to his face.
Three men, aged 32, 33 and 39, have been arrested on suspicion of assault causing grievous bodily harm.
They are currently being questioned by police.
The victim was taken to hospital for treatment.
A spokesman for Suffolk police said: "Detectives do not believe this to be a random attack and understand that the victim and suspects were known to each other."
Forensics and a cordon were spotted at the scene on Tuesday evening.
