The Town Hall on the Cornhill in Ipswich was brightly lit up in many colours this week, and hare statues spotted outside, to mark a charity art trail.

The landmark was lit up on Tuesday, May 28 in honour of the St Elizabeth Hospice Hop to It! art trail, which will come to Suffolk next summer, in the event's themed colours.

The designs were projected by the Ipswich projection mapping and video projection company Motion Mapping, alongside St Elizabeth Hospice.

The charity announced the theme for the 2025 art trail earlier this year, and it will involve about 38 decorated hare sculptures dotted around Suffolk, with a variety of designs on them.

The event will be the fourth art trail hosted by the charity in partnership with creative producers Wild in Art.

The hares will be located around Ipswich, Beccles, Lowestoft, Felixstowe and Woodbridge, with art trails raising awareness and funds for the hospice, as well as encouraging more people to explore their local areas.

Liz Baldwin, corporate and sponsorship fundraising manager at the charity, said: “We hope all the visitors to Ipswich town centre enjoyed the colourful treat of seeing our Hop to it! Suffolk brand decorating the iconic town hall.
