An Ipswich teenager has received acclaim for her musical prowess following performances at a top festival.
Sofiia, a student at Royal Hospital School in Holbrook near Ipswich, emerged triumphant in two categories at the renowned Ealing Festival of Music, Dance, Speech and Drama.
At the festival, Sofiia, originally from Ukraine, participated in both the Under 16s solo and Under 16s exhibition piano classes.
She clinched first place title in the solo class, while also securing the bronze medal in the exhibition category.
She has also been honoured with the Colchester Rotary Club's Young Musician of the Year prize.
She said: "My musical journey has been incredibly rewarding, and I am deeply grateful for the support ad encouragement I have received from Royal Hospital School.
"Winning first place and coming third at the Ealing Festival has been a dream come true.
"Receiving the Young Musician of the Year award is an honour beyond words and I am excited to represent Colchester in the regional round later this year.
"My future plans include participating in more music festivals, piano recitals in Suffolk and I am thrilled at the prospect of a concerto performance with a local orchestra, possibly the Wolsey Orchestra.
"Royal Hospital School has been instrumental in nurturing my talent and passion for music and I am proud to be part of such a supportive community."
Sofiia has previously won several competitions and earned numerous performance diplomas.
She also has plans to perform at upcoming music festivals.
