The full line-up for one of Ipswich's biggest music festivals has been unveiled. 

Ipswich Music Day is taking over Christchurch Park on Sunday, July 7. 

This year the event is expanding outside of the park with performances by choirs and community groups taking place in Christchurch Mansion, Bethesda Church, Masonic Hall and St Margaret's Church.

Running for the 34th year, the 2024 event will offer music from a range of genres such as acoustic, electronic, folk, grunge, indie, jazz, rage, reggae and rock. 

The lineup this year features live performers including JayaHadADream, Phoebe Austin, Marcellux, xiodontile, AfterDrive and many more. 

Ipswich Music Day is one of the events where a certain Ed Sheeran made his name before becoming the global superstar he is today.

The Indian Summer Mela stage is expected to bring a celebration of Indian culture and entertainment to Christchurch Park. 

Mark Whiting, head of vibrant town services at Ipswich Borough Council, said: "We received so many fantastic entries to perform at Ipswich Music Day 2024, so we'd like to thank everybody who applied to be part of the largest free one-day musical festival in the UK.

"This year's event promises to be more diverse than ever, so we are looking forward to showcasing some really exciting and talented artists."
