An Ipswich man who stole diesel from his employer has been handed a community order.
Christopher Rees appeared before Suffolk Magistrates' Court in the town charged with theft by employee.
This related to the taking of diesel on July 14, 2022 at Essex Bulk Services Ltd, which is a heavy loads transporter.
Vladimir Neshev also appeared before magistrates charged with handling stolen goods in relation to the diesel.
Rees, of Stone Lodge Lane West in Ipswich, was handed a community order that will expire in September next year, having admitted the charge of theft by employee.
The 41-year-old was told to complete 200 hours of unpaid work, pay £87 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service and £114 in the form of a victim surcharge.
No order for compensation was made as the goods had been recovered.
Neshev, of Galway Avenue in Ipswich, also pleaded guilty.
The 48-year-old was handed a £344 fine, as well as being told to pay £87 in costs and £138 for a victim surcharge.
