An application has been submitted to convert another property in an Ipswich residential street into a house share.
A proposal has been received by the council which suggests opening a six-person house share at a property in Grove Lane, near Alexandra Park.
This application comes just three weeks after another property in the road was given permission to expand from a five-bed house share into one large enough for eight people.
According to Ipswich Borough Council’s register of houses of multiple occupation (HMOs), there are currently 15 house existing house shares already in Grove Lane.
If accepted, this would be the road’s 16th HMO.
Floor plans submitted to the borough council show that this house share would have three bedrooms located on the ground floor, and six on the first floor.
Each bedroom would be complete with its own en-suite bathroom.
Ipswich Borough Council sets an automatic eight-week target date for a decision on all applications it receives.
It has given this proposal a date of July 18.
