A shop selling tobacco, sweets, vapes and snacks in Ipswich town centre has applied to expand its offering and sell alcohol until 11pm everyday.

Sandi Sweet in Lloyds Avenue, opposite the Club 3000 Bingo hall near Tower Ramparts bus station, opened at the start of last month.

The shop sells a variety of items, including disposable vapes, American candy, soft drinks, crisps, chocolate and sweets.

The premises was most recently used as Ma Belle Present.

Now, the business has applied for a premises licence to Ipswich Borough Council licencing committee, proposing to sell alcohol off the premises.

The licence would allow the store to sell alcohol between the hours of 7am to 11pm everyday.

Closing date for representations must be made by Wednesday, May 29.

Sandi Sweet is the latest business in Ipswich to apply for an alcohol licence from the borough council.

Vilson Coffee Bar, a new restaurant in Norwich Road, sought permission to sell alcohol earlier this year, as did American Candy Corner in Dogs Head Street.
