Plans have been submitted for a property near Ipswich railway station to be converted into a nine-bedroom house of multiple occupation (HMO), suitable for up to 12 people.
The plans, submitted by Wharf View Capital based in Pinewood, would convert the house situated on the corner of Willoughby Road and Burrell Road.
There will be bedrooms across three floors of the building with one bedroom in the basement, four on the ground floor and four on the first floor.
Also in the basement would be a large shared kitchen and dining area.
Secure cycle storage would be provided in a garden outbuilding, and no external alterations would be made.
Elsewhere in Ipswich, the borough council has recently received plans to convert a property in Colchester Road near Ipswich Hospital into a six-person HMO.
The planning committee also granted plans for an existing five-bed HMO to be converted into an eight-bed property in Grove Lane.
A decision on the Willoughby Road building and the application will be made in due course.
