There were delays of around 60 minutes on the A14 near Ipswich after a crash.
Emergency services were called to the scene of the crash in the eastbound carriageway, close to the Orwell Bridge, on Thursday morning.
A spokesman for National Highways said there were delays of around 60 minutes in the area after the two-vehicle crash.
The spokesman said one car had hit the central reservation.
Pictures from the A14 Traffic Cameras showed drivers had come to a standstill.
According to the AA Traffic Map, there were severe delays as a result of the crash.
The extent of any injuries is not yet known.
