Permission has been given for a five-bedroom house share to expand to accommodate eight people.
Plans were submitted to Ipswich Borough Council last year, suggesting that a property in Grove Lane could become an eight person House of Multiple Occupation (HMO).
The house, a short distance from Alexandra Park, is currently used as a five-bedroom HMO, with two bedrooms located on the ground floor, as well as a combined kitchen and living area and a dining room. The three remaining bedrooms are located on the first floor.
Floor plans submitted to the council suggested converting the dining room into another bedroom and dividing one of the first-floor bedrooms to create two separate rooms. This brings the total of bedrooms to eight.
Ipswich Borough Council gave the build permission to go ahead on May 3.
