A "love bug" dog is looking to find his forever home in Suffolk after spending a thousand days in care.
Chester the malinois cross lurcher is being looked after by Suffolk Aminal Rescue in Debenham near Stowmarket.
The three-and-a-half-year-old was taken into care in December 2021 due to a relationship breakdown in his old home.
In August last year the rescue centre launched an appeal to find Chester his forever home.
He has now spent more of his life in kennels than he has in a home.
Describing Chester, staff at the centre said: "He is an absolute love bug who is so desperate for attention, he loves to play and loves a good cuddle.
"Chester absolutely loves a walk and would happily spend all day exploring the countryside. He loves a good sniff.
"He walks well on a slip lead however can become overexcited and pull, he gets frustrated when he can't say hello to another dog and will bark in frustration, but will calm down with a quick walk on command."
He is looking for active owners who have plenty of time to keep him busy with walks and stimulation.
When bored Chester can become destructive, staff have said, and is looking for new owners who will help him settle into his new home.
He settles best in his crate, which helps him when he gets overwhelmed or he needs some down time.
The animal centre staff member added: "Chester has so much love to give and just craves attention from his humans. He is desperate to meet adopters who can love him and help tame his wild side."
He is looking for a child free home but could live with a playful female dog who will tolerate his boisterous playstyle.
