Work to install a Ferris wheel in a seaside town is starting.
Plans for the 34.5-metre high tourist attraction to become a permanent fixture along Felixstowe seafront were given the go-ahead by East Suffolk Council in March.
The wheel, which is owned by Essex-based Observation Attractions Company, proved to be a big hit in the town last year, with a 20% increase in visitors.
Preparations for its return appear to now be underway.
Parts for the wheel were seen arriving on site, between the promenade and Sea Road, on Monday.
East Suffolk Council previously gave the go-ahead for the 24-gondola wheel to operate between February and October.
Mayor Seamus Bennett said previously: "I'm pleased that the Ferris wheel is returning this year for the summer season on a permanent basis.
"It was a great success last year and will add greatly to Felixstowe's growing tourist offer.
"I'm also pleased that the owners have installed electric power so the wheel runs without polluting our precious sea air."
It is not known when the attraction is due to open this year.
