While Suffolk is full of fantastic pubs and cafés, some are better known than others.
Here are five of the best hidden-gem eateries in the county.
1. Queen's Bar and Grill, Bury St Edmunds
Nestled just away from the town centre, Queen's Bar and Grill offers an eclectic range of food for people to enjoy.
The Churchgate Street restaurant has become known for its range of burgers and loaded fries, as well as its willingness to try new flavours.
Owner Ben Hatton also launched Crumbs dessert bar in 2022, which is now in the Traverse.
2. Jet Lounge, Hadleigh
The Hadleigh High Street venue is a favourite among locals due to its quirky theme and delicious food.
Based around airplanes, its menus are titled 'In Flight dining' and 'Future pilots' for children.
Its food also takes you around the world, experiencing cuisines from the likes of Morocco and Thailand.
The restaurant was taken over by Daniel and Tia Farthing in July 2023.
3. Blends Café, Ipswich
Blends Café in Ipswich is another hidden gem recommended by readers.
Located in the Buttermarket, the eatery serves a wide range of dishes - including waffles and ice cream from its dessert menu.
4. Fishface, Ipswich
Hidden within the upholstery shop, Fishface in Ipswich's The Walk also has its own café.
The vintage decor of the café reflects the style of the shop, while readers praised the wide range of options on its menu.
5. Pinch café, Kelsale
Pinch café in east Suffolk has proven to be a big hit with locals since it opened in May 2021.
Owned by Alice Norman, the eatery puts a modern twist on normal café options, serving gelato, cruellers and spice hot chocolate.
"Despite the limited array of options it still gets busy, especially during the summer and holiday seasons," Miss Norman told this newspaper in December..
