One lane was closed on the A14 after a car crashed into the central reservation near Ipswich.
Police were called to the incident near junction 58 for the Seven Hills interchange just before 4pm on Monday.
A spokeswoman said a car crashed into the central reservation.
Lane two was closed in the eastbound direction towards Felixstowe with traffic moving slowly in lane one.
Traffic was queuing over the Orwell Bridge and past the junction 56 for Wherstead but all delays in the area have cleared.
Witnesses report the East of England Ambulance Service was also in attendance.
