Suffolk was battered by strong winds and rain yesterday which saw trees being felled, power cuts and a reduced speed limit on the Orwell Bridge.
Wind speeds reached in excess of 40mph in parts of the county, which was issued with a yellow weather warning by the Met Office due to the conditions.
The warning was in place until 10pm on Monday.
Shortly after the weather warning was put in place, UK Power Networks confirmed almost 900 homes and businesses in west Suffolk were without electricity due to an outage.
The supplier's online tracker said a peak of 892 properties, mostly in the Bury St Edmunds, Rougham, Rattlesden and Cockfield areas, were affected.
The gusts also saw a tree falling in Badingham Road in Bramling Green, near Framlingham, causing it to block the road and break an internet cable.
A police officer and engineers for Openreach were on the scene to fix the issue, a witness said.
Another tree was reported to have fallen between Colchester and Manningtree in north Essex, causing disruption for rail passengers heading to and from Suffolk in the afternoon.
Greater Anglia warned of cancellations as the line was completely blocked until the tree, which was resting on the overhead wire, could be cleared later in the day.
Haverhill Recycling Centre was forced to shut early on Monday, Suffolk Recycling Centres confirmed on social media, after a tree was uprooted at the site.
The Orwell Bridge outside of Ipswich remained open throughout the day, but National Highways confirmed a reduced speed limit of 40mph would be in place.
National Highways warned drivers that the speed limit on the A14 bridge could remain in place until 6pm.
The strong winds come after Suffolk and the rest of the region was hit by several strong storms over the autumn, including Babet, Ciarán and Henk.
