A Waterfront venue in Ipswich will close its doors for the final time today. 

Wiff Waff, Regatta Quay, Key Street, next to Pizza Express, is set to close on Sunday (April 14).

Bosses said on social media that they were "sorry" to announce the closure but said the "ongoing cost escalations" made it "no longer viable" to continue. 

In an emotional post they said: "We would love to go out with a bang and enjoy one last weekend with all our fantastic guests.

"So come and join us for our last party with great drinks deals all weekend."

The bar also hosts regular events, including karaoke nights, quiz nights and salsa and bachata classes.

Employees have also said that they would like to see the bar continue to be used as such by a new business.
