The landlords of a much-loved Chantry pub have announced its closure.
Penny Youngs-Debnam and her husband Dwayne have run The Kingfisher pub since 2019.
The pair announced on social media that the pub ceased trading on Tuesday.
The post said: "Unfortunately we have no information on what the brewery are planning or who will be taking over or if ever be reopened.
"Some big boots to fill for whoever does take over but wish them luck."
The pair were a well-known couple among residents as they hosted regular events including Meet Up Mondays in the wake of the coronavirus lockdown.
The pub was used for regular get-togethers for those looking for new friends or stuck inside on their own.
The pub, in Hawthorn Drive, which is owned by the Stonegate Pub Company, is now recruiting for a new landlord to take over.
It is currently listed on the company's website.
