A woman has been taken to hospital after a serious crash involving a lorry and a car on the A14 outside of Ipswich.
Emergency services were called to the crash on the eastbound carriageway near the Nacton turn-off just after 12pm on Wednesday.
The A14 was closed in both directions while emergency services attended.
The road reopened several hours later.
A spokeswoman for the East of England Ambulance Service said one ambulance and an ambulance officer vehicle were sent to the scene.
One woman was taken to Ipswich Hospital for treatment, the spokeswoman confirmed.
The crash caused severe delays around Ipswich as many roads became gridlocked.
Drivers faced delays of around 25 minutes in Wherstead Road and other busy Ipswich routes while the A14 was closed.
